Currently, the submission of documents for Alberta Land Titles registration (i.e. transfers, mortgages and other encumbrances) is a manual process with the Alberta Government. Documents must be submitted directly to one of two Alberta Land Titles Offices: John E. Brownlee building in Edmonton or the Service Alberta building in Calgary.

An Alberta Land Titles search is a process that allows individuals or organizations to access official records related to property ownership, liens, encumbrances, mortgages, and other legal interests registered against a specific parcel of land in the province of Alberta, Canada.
Alberta Land Titles searches are commonly performed for various reasons, including property transactions, due diligence before buying or selling land, assessing property ownership, verifying legal interests, investigating potential liens or encumbrances, and ensuring the accuracy of property information.
You can perform an Alberta Land Titles search through authorized service providers. You’ll need to provide the legal land description or the title number of the property you’re interested in.
An Alberta Land Titles search report typically includes details about the property’s legal description, ownership information, encumbrances, mortgages, caveats, easements, and any other registered interests affecting the property.
